We have all heard and have been told that we must communicate with those around us. Family, friends, business associates, and customers. In 2007, we have never had so many tools to use to communicate. Email, Instant Messaging, cell phones, text messaging, message board, social networking websites, wikkis, but what about good old face to face?I know for myself, face to face human communication is only when needed. Emails are a daily, if not several times a day. Phone calls usually happen to any one business associate a couple times a week. Then face to face contact is to whenever needed.
Am I having effective communication? Am I losing customers, friends, and family by not having the face to face communication? Or have we become salves to the electronic media in the 21st century?
